I want to thank the previous board of directors and numerous committee members for their dedication and the many hours of hard work they have put into the Star Chamber of Commerce. I have been a member of the Star Chamber since 2008, a board member since 2011 and helped in its transition phase. Many talented volunteers have spent countless hours to polish our organization into the success it is today.
We have accomplished much this past few years and I hope to continue that success with help from our new board of directors, committee members and members. Star Chamber of Commerce is a completely volunteer organization and its purpose is to advance economic, industry, professional, cultural and civic success in the Star area.
As your president, my goal for 2015 is sustainable membership growth and encouraging participation, learning and civic duty. This includes fostering and developing an environment that encourages financial success, continuing to provide relevant educational programs, creating networking opportunities, promoting Star businesses, mentoring leaders, and encouraging civic duty and business events that give community exposure to the Star Chamber member businesses.
Please feel free to contact me and let me know if we can assist you in your business success. We are a virtual Chamber, we have no tangible office, no paid employees, but an online support system with monthly scheduled meetings and events. This allows us to use all of our financial resources to build the member businesses. You can contact me any time via many options, from email, Website contact, Facebook SMS, text and phone. I am very responsive and will meet you by appointment. I also look forward to seeing you around town and at the local meetings and events.
I encourage you to be involved in your local Chamber as a member and volunteer. We truly are your partner in success. The more you get involved, the more you get out of the chamber.
